The newest “one $10 t-shirt every twenty-four hours” type site Shirt Punch finally launched today after months of hype, with the ever popular Zerobriant (Anthony Brian) being its first designer to be featured. So far day zero has been a success for the brand thanks largely to the tightknit community of talented artist known simply as the-RBC (The Red Bubble Club) who are showing their support for Anthony and his Nathon Fillion inspired design dubbed The Captain.
As most of the other one a day sites, Fan-Art seems to be the fuel that launches the newcomer into the highly competitive market. Expect to see an endless supply of Doctor Who,Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pokemon, and Firefly tees. Many that you’ve probably already seen a few times on similar sites such as RiptApparel, Qwertee, OtherTees, TheYetee, NoWhereBad, and TeeFury. Such as “The Whos” tee for example. Which in turn defeats the noble concept of a “limited edition” print run.
Will Shirt Punch continue to be just like everyone else or will they carve a niche for themselves and raise the bar by expanding their selection of genres and designers?
One thing sets them apart from their competition and that is the countdown preview of the shirts to come. This prepares customers for the upcoming sale by allowing them some time to save up while anticpating the tee’s release.
Wishing you the best of luck Shirt Punch, hoping you knock them out… or at least knock them silly.
